Mastercard Adding 380 New Jobs in Vancouver with New $510 Million Intelligence and Cyber Centre

Mastercard has announced they are building a new Intelligence and Cyber Centre in Vancouver. The centre will be home to “one of six global technology centres for Mastercard and will develop cyber solutions for the payments ecosystem globally.” The original statement was made today at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

Highlights:

  • The new centre will create 380 new jobs and 100 co-op positions for software engineers, data scientists, project managers, analysts, product designers, and security experts
  • It will be used for innovation in cyber security, AI and IoT
  • The Canadian government is pitching in $49 million through the Strategic Innovation Fund

The new positions will be located in The Exchange office tower at 475 Howe Street in Vancouver. Mastercard already has a presence there after acquiring NuData Security in 2017. To find job openings in Vancouver and across the world, visit the Mastercard global careers site.
